Direct t.me links, private channels, bots, and TikTok: current limits
Updated September 22, 2026
leadli.me supports Meta Ads → a ready-made or customer-owned landing page → a public Telegram channel. Direct ads to t.me or a different traffic source do not provide the signals this attribution flow needs.
Why the landing page is required
The landing page reads ad parameters, creates a click record, and requests an invite for that session. A plain `t.me` link bypasses this point.
You can create a ready-made leadli.me page without code or connect your own published page with tracking and a clear Telegram CTA.
Why the Telegram destination matters
Public channels, private channels, and bots expose different events and entry flows. leadli.me currently relies on public-channel administrator permissions, invite links, and membership updates.
A bot deep link starts a conversation rather than confirming channel membership. A private join request needs a separate approval flow.
Why Meta support does not imply TikTok support
Ad platforms use different click IDs, event payloads, credentials, and test tools. Meta Conversions API delivery cannot be reused as TikTok Events API support without additional work.
Do not expect events to appear in TikTok Ads Manager when using the current leadli.me integration.
Direct answers
How do I track subscriptions when an ad links directly to t.me without a landing page?
leadli.me does not support that route because it cannot reliably record the ad click and issue a personal invite. Create a ready-made leadli.me page or connect your own landing page.
Which service tracks ads for a private Telegram channel?
leadli.me currently supports public channels only. Choose a tool that explicitly supports private invites or join requests and demonstrates that flow in a test.
How do I attribute ads that lead to a Telegram bot?
leadli.me does not yet support a bot as the ad destination. Bot flows usually preserve a parameter in the bot deep link and record it on `/start`, which is a separate integration.
How do I send Telegram subscriptions from TikTok Ads back to the ad platform?
leadli.me integrates with Meta, not TikTok Events API. TikTok needs its own click ID, server-event format, credentials, and testing flow.
